Rudy’s Barbershop
As the head of brand, creative, and marketing for Rudy’s, I oversaw the strategy behind and the creation of Rudy’s product line. We launched over 25 different hair and body products. We also got to make weird and fun things like apparel, stickers, matches, koozies, and a beer. I oversaw everything from packaging design to the art direction of photo, video, and design assets for the launch of products in-shop, online, and with partners like Urban Outfitters and Nordstroms.
Basically, we did a lot. But the cool thing is that we punched WAY above our weight. We had little budgets, a super small team, and weren’t known for much more than hair, but had vision. We worked with up-and-coming artists and creatives who are now huge names, got to push the boundaiers on what a hair brand can stand for, and became famous in our own small circle of tastemakers. Thanks to all the folks who helped us get there like Eddie Obrand, Austyn Gillette, Ariel Fish, Graham Walzer, Lauren Segal, Will Bryant, Kyler Marz, and everyone else i’m forgetting.

25th Anniversary
Rudy’s has been a pioneer since 1993, especially in the PNW. To celebrate 25 years, we created a full campaign with a brand video, print campaign, and exclusive events.
Good Hair Day
What barbershop do you know that has created a beer? Well, now there’s one. For Seattle Pride 2018, we partnered with Reuben’s Brews on a custom beer with proceeds supporting the LGBTQ advocacy group, Equal Rights Washington. We designed custom packaging, posters, and marketing materials for the partnership.

Soft Clay Pomade
Instead of tutorial videos of Rudy’s latest goldilocks pomade, we piqued our customer’s interest through relatable (and annoying) lifestyle scenarios. Shot in LA, we created a hero video and three vignettes highlighting hard moments made better by Soft Clay.
Etc.
